My Review:
The protagonist of this story is Shikha, a very ambitious woman, her work, her achievements make her happy and fulfilled, she lives with her husband in Mumbai. Everything is going perfect until she takes a trip to Ladakh with her bestfriend Maya. The entire book is written as if addressed to Maya.
Ladakh opens up many opportunities for Shikha, a break from hustling life of Mumbai. She meets Shekhar who despite all the walls she has built around herself makes her reevaluate her marriage and understanding of love. She stays back after her 4 days trip to volunteer teaching kids at the local schools from who she learns the true meaning of happiness and fulfillment.
She spends her days teaching at the school and evenings thinking about Shekhar, but she doesn’t realise that she is already in love with him. After the trip she returns to Mumbai promising Shekhar that she will quit her job and come back to Ladakh and help him start a school.
Can she keep her promise? What will she tell her husband? Her boss? Will she leave her material possessions in pursuit of love? Grab your copy to find out!
Many times in life we keep chasing material possessions thinking they will make us happy. We are afraid to express our love, accept the love that’s been offered under the fears of ‘what ifs’. This book will make you question your beliefs and re-evaluate your definitions of happiness and walk towards them before its too late.
